What is life after age 40?

"Live your life and forget your age."

At 55, I am qualified to inform about going downhill after the 40th year. You get into life with the presumption that you will never get out.

The beauty and handsome you thought were hot during school / college days, have all transformed into wildebeests. In mid-40’s, one begins to experience all aches, pains and gas troubles that were never there before. Many develop serious health issues which is the accumulation of the careless junk food life style and other bad habits of their 20’s/30’s. The call centre executives & the techies who make the organization available 24/7 is an example of junk food life style and other bad habits! May God be with them.

During this time, the hard realization dawns – most people do not give a shit about you! All the so-called close relatives and friends fall off…either they marry or move-on with their lives. Few may morph into good for nothing WhatsApp friends! You are alone!

At about 45, people face the inescapable and the unavoidable reality – the mid-life crisis. They wake-up to realize that they are not where they thought they would be at 45 and get deeply depressed about failures. During this age most marriages fall apart too!!

The reality of life at this age begins to create a deep awareness of many things…one of them is, the feeling of being invincible slowly fades away. Then one begins to ponder about the deep things in life – such as Religion, God, Death and Afterlife.

Life begins to look very short and quick. 45 years of life is only yesterday. And we all begin to pack our bags to get out of life while desperately searching for the true source of happiness and the meaning of this life.
