God’s Creation is strange. Un understandable. But the Human Greed is a stranger. Even the God cannot understand the man he created. The God was up that day very early, finished His morning coffee and sat down to work. He sighed apologetically, the day of rest – Sunday – 3 more days away!! He began His work for the day.
THE DONKEY:
First the God created the donkey and told him “You will work tirelessly from sunrise to sunset; you will carry heavy bags on your back; you will eat grass; you will not have any intelligence and you will live for 50 years. You will be a Donkey!”
The donkey answered, “I will be a donkey, but living 50 years is too much. Give me only 20 years.” God gave him 20 years. God gave him 20 years.
THE DOG:
The second creation for the day: God created the dog and told him “You will look after man’s house; you will be his best friend; you will eat whatever he gives you and you will have 25 years. You will be a dog!
The dog answered, “God, living 25 years is too much. Give me only 10 years.” God gave him 10 years.
THE MONKEY:
Then the God created monkey and told him “You will jump from branch to branch; you will do silly things; you will be amusing and will live 20 years. You will be a monkey”.
The monkey answered, “God, living 20 years is too much. Give me only 10 years. God agreed.
THE MAN:
Finally, God created man and told him “You will be a man, the only rational being on earth; you will use your intelligence to control other animals; you will dominate the earth and you will live for 20 years.
The man answered, ‘God, I will be a man, but living 20 years is not enough. Why not give me the 30 years that donkey refused, the 15 years that dog refused and the 10 years that the monkey refused?” God nodded as if He did not understand the greed of man, did as requested.
THE LIFE MAN:
Since then, man lives 20 years like a man, then gets married and spends 30 years like a donkey. Working and carrying loads on his back. When his children leave, he spends 15 years like a dog looking after the house and eating whatever is given to him. He then gets old, retires and spends 10 years like a monkey jumping from house to house or from child to child, doing silly things to amuse the grandchildren.
