——————-
This great man is often described as “the most perfect man who has ever entered the kingdom of science”. He was both – a practical problem solver and a theoretical genius. He discovered that heat killed micro-organisms and turned wine sour. He was also credited with saving the French silk industry by finding and eliminating microbe attacking silkworm eggs.
His greatest contribution was his work on the germ theory of disease. Pasteur developed vaccines against anthrax and other diseases. By doing so, he saved countless lives and founded the modern science of immunology.
No other man in the history has saved as many lives as Pasteur did through his vaccines.
