——————-
The people of his times knew that the world is round. Ferdinand Magellan undertook an expedition across the Atlantic in 1519 to provide proof.
Magellan was a Portuguese captain sailed under the Spanish flag. He was a brave captain, survived mutiny, desertion, shipwreck and treacherous staff near South America’s tip. Facing starvation Magellan and his crew headed into the pacific. Magellan died in Philippines.
However, a small band of his men eventually reached home, the first to have sailed around the world. Magellan died at a very a young age of 41. But his contribution towards the science and trade is enormous.
Hence, he is my 7th man who changed the world.
