——————-

Leonardo was born in Vinci, Italy in 1452. He showed his talent in painting and sculpture. He did many projects in engineering architecture, anatomy, mathematics, map making, scientific illustration and optics.

His best-known works are ‘Mona Lisa’ and ‘The Last Supper’.

Leonardo was a Renaissance man, a man who knows too much, with broad and deep interests and with an unending zest for enquiry. He is regarded as the greatest of the amateurs; this enduring icon of the Renaissance set a mark unequaled by any who came after.

Thus, he becomes the 5th greatest man during the last 1000 years.
