THE KAILASH MAN SAROVAR

The Himalayas

This piece I am writing is regarding one of the ancient pilgrimages, very sacred pilgrimage for every Hindu – the Kailash Man Sarovar Yatra. This Yatra is conducted annually under the supervision of Government of India, as it is an international Yatra involving more than one country. Those of you who desire to know more of this Yatra, kindly visit https://www.mea.gov.in/apply-online-kmy.htm .

It is believed by every devout Hindu that the majestic Mount Kailash (the abode of God Shiva) has many metaphysical energies. These energies believed to deal with the connection between the earth and the universe and creation of cosmic balance between them. The height of mount Kailash is 6656 meters. Due to its religious significance no one has climbed the mountain. Mount Kailash’s religious significance has made it unique. You will not believe what is being written in the following lines. I cannot say whether it can be explained by science or by the religion or if it is a common belief. I shall leave the conclusion to you.

As you approach the mount Kailash time becomes irrelevant. It makes us wonder if it really exists at all. The time begins to behave oddly. Though no scientific explanation is offered, many visitors felt the odd behavior of time! The visitors say near the mount Kailash the time moves fast, as if someone has pressed fast forward button. People begin to age fast…there is accelerated aging. If these is a place in the world for man to age quickly, then Mount Kailash is the place. 24 hours are sufficient to grow two weeks of hair and nails! Is the man travelling forward in time there? Mount Kailash is the home of Lord Shiva. Here at his home the Lord meditates perpetually in his divine manner. Lord Shiva is the embodiment of the entire universe. Time and space cease to exist in His abode.

Next to the Mount Kailash, very nearby, exists ‘Rakshasa Taal’ or the Lake of Demons. This is a saltwater lake with no aqua life. There is the absolute stillness of death. This lake symbolizes darkness, negative forces and destruction.

And very next to the Lake of Demons is the Manasarovar Lake or the Lake of Life and Consciousness. All types of aqua life exist in this lake. This lake is always brimming with activity and positive energy. The Lord Shiva thus demonstrates in his own way about His power of destruction.

Mount Kailash’s almost perfect pyramid structure makes one to think and wonder if it was made by man. This adds enigma to its natural beauty. Shambhala is a mythical Kingdom near Mount Kailash. This kingdom is said to be a place of tranquility harmony and well-being. Shambhala or Shangri-la or Agartha is said to be located inside the hallow earth at the earth’s core. Many legends refer to the inter dimensional gateways near Kailash suggesting entry somewhere within the mountain ranges of the Himalayas. Shangri-la is an enormous underground complex with a huge population of millions ruled by a sovereign pontiff – Brahatma. This kingdom said to preserving great wisdom and ancient knowledge. Their 22-letter script is known as Vattanian.
