Shit, it is one of the most beautiful words. The English language should be proud of it. I don’t think any other language has such a beautiful word. One Shithead from Hyderabad India has done some great research on it. I think he must be the biggest shithead in the world! He says:
One of the most interesting words in the English language today is the word ‘shit’. It is one magical word: just by its sound it can describe pain, pleasure, hate and love. In language it falls into many grammatical categories. It can be used as a verb, both transitive (John shitted Mary) and intransitive (Mary was shitted by John), and as a noun (Mary is a fine shit). It can be used as an adjective (Mary is shitting beautiful). As you can see there are not many words with the versatility of ‘shit’.
Besides the above implicit sexual meaning, there are also the following uses:
Fraud: I got the shit at the pre-owned car company.
Ignorance: Shit if I know.
Trouble: I guess I am shit now!
Aggression: Shit you!
Displeasure: What the shit is going on here?
Difficulty: I can’t understand this shit job.
Incompetence: He is a shithead.
Suspicion: What the shit are you doing?
Enjoyment: I had a good shitty time.
Request: Get the shit out of here!
Hostility: I am going to knock your shithead off!
Greeting: How the shit are you?
Apathy: Who gives a shit?
Innovation: Get a bigger shitty hammer.
Surprise: God! You scared the shit out of me!
Anxiety: Today is shit.
And shit is very healthy too. If every morning do Shit as a Meditation and Puja – immediately after you get up, the first thing, repeat the mantra “Shit on you!” five times – it clears the throat and the mind. That’s how I keep my mind and soul clear of shit!
