All I saw at Hyderabad was early morning crowd, students, milk vans, buses, good transporting trucks, chicken vans, GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) sweepers trying to sweep the never diminishing heaps of garbage and most important of all the greed of man. I prayed for crossing the city ASAP.
On the way and after 13 km, I stopped at the Taaza Tiffins, Pocharam village. I had no idea of this restaurant. I just glanced at the exterior, I liked it and I walked in. Having walked for 13 km, I needed a place to sit and relax. This is exactly what the Taaza Tiffins offered. I am appending my order details below.

I had asked for a plate of idly and a cup of Tea. Idly costed: Rs. 30/- & Tea: Rs. 15/-, Total:45/-. I sat down to enjoy the hot and fresh breakfast. Taaza tiffins is a huge well planned tiffin center situated on the left side, if you are going away from Hyderabad. It is a self-service center. There are no tables & chairs; in their place well laid cement tables & benches. The used plates are being removed in a Jiffy. The steel plates are washed immediately and kept in a sterilized manner. The cement tables are cleaned with care for the next user. The general ambience speaks volumes of the cleanliness.
Those of you who are travelling by vehicles (I was walking) have every reason to visit this clean spot as these people provide ample free parking. This center is away from the maddening traffic of Hyderabad. As the Taaza Tiffins is east facing, I assure you, you will have nice early morning sunlit healthy breakfast at a reasonable and affordable price. Every kind of freshly made South Indian tiffin is available here. The tiffins are served in steel plates. To maintain the hygiene standards and to ensure continued good health of their customers, these plates are rinsed in hot boiling water. In a word, the plates are sterilized!
They have a separate fresh fruit juice corner where one can enjoy fresh fruit juice prepared before you. Close your eyes & imagine a sip of fresh orange juice on a sunlight early morning, where every pore of the skin is being pierced with warm sun rays while every cell in the body taking in freshly squeezed orange juice – thus creating an eternal harmony balance and bliss with in!
Taaza Tiffins has a special tea & milk corner too – freshly brewed tea & coffee are prepared here. The mixed aroma which I call “Teaffee” is spread around in the air. Man! This is what bliss is!
It is not mandatory for you to buy bottled drinking water. Clean sterilized steel glasses are arranged in a row. All the user has to do is to pick up a glass fill the freshly processed RO (Reverse Osmosis) pure cool water. Near the wash basins I also observed branded liquid soap to wash hands before & after having food.
I must also refer to the clean well aired and spacious toilets. I happened to use them. There is good water supply, clean dustbins and hand wash near the wash basins. They offer user privacy. I was very much satisfied with the toilets.
Taaza Tiffins is like an Oasis in a desert. The vision of good food with hygiene of the owners is applaudable. It is a rare to find a spot like this in & around Hyderabad. Either you are a highway traveler or not, visit this place. It could be your very simple family outing! It is worth a try. Personally I never cared for the slogan which is usually written on the bill “Thank You. Please visit again”. But in case of Taaza Tiffins, I will make a rare exception. Thank You Taaza Tiffins for the good food.
