I wonder if we will ever talk again,
I wonder if you will remember me,
I wonder if you still keep my photograph,
I wonder if you still love me!
I wonder if you still have a phone,
I wonder if you have deleted my number,
I wonder if you take calls from unknown numbers,
I wonder of you ever think of me!
I wonder if you will eat the sweets I bring,
I wonder if we will have ‘3 Roses’ tea again,
I wonder if we will share a meal again,
I wonder if you still like this food!
I wonder if you visit our loving house again,
I wonder if you still look same as in the last photo,
I wonder what is going on in your life,
I wonder if you are here at all!
I wonder if you still talk of childhood memories,
I wonder if you still need help in the bath,
I wonder if you are taking medicines regularly,
I wonder if you will attend grandchildren’s marriage,
Am I asking too many questions?
From now on I will not ask you, because,
We became strangers in our own worlds,
Strangers connected with common memories!
About the Author
Dr. K. Raja Gopal Reddy is a seasoned internationally qualified Insurance professional. What you are reading here, may not answer all the questions we have, but has the absolute power of asking unsettling questions which increase the interest in the strange world, and show the contradictory wonders lying just below the surface of the commonest things of life. Look at this disturbing but beautiful thought of Friedrich Nietzsche “God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him”.
