We the Hindus wrongly accuse and suspect the followers of Muslim faith to be radical. We concluded that being a Muslim is equivalent to being a terrorist. Are Muslims radical? Are they terrorists? Let me examine in Indian context.
30 th January 1948 is the day when the Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated by a Hindu radical Nathuram Godse. Nathuram Godse was Hindu… not Muslim.
Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated on 31 October 1984 at her residence in New Delhi. She was killed by her bodyguards Satwant Singh and Beant Singh. The assassins were not Muslims. They were Sikhs…which is a part of Hinduism.
The assassination of Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India, occurred as a result of a suicide bombing in Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu, India on 21 May 1991. The people who were involved were Hindus, not Mohammadans
Our revered freedom fighters – Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru, Alluri Sitaram Raju, Subhas Chandra Bose, and Chandra Shekar Azad etc., rebelled, sought revenge were all Hindus. The British Government labelled them as Terrorists and were punished. There were many Muslim freedom fighters too. But few were involved in bombs and violent activities against the British. What conclusion should we draw? Hindus perceive themselves as peace loving, non-violent, god-fearing and religious minded lot. We project Buddha & Gandhi as the Hindu apostles of peace. Is it really so? Do you know of any Muslim Naxalite? I cannot think of anybody.
A BBC documentary can shake the Indians off their peace-loving illusion and resort to banning it in India. Are Hindus peace loving non-violent people? Truth must prevail. Satyameva Jayate. The Kettle cannot call the pot black! Hence, according to peace loving Hindus, Muslim is synonymous with Terrorism.
