THE FOUNTAIN PEN

CLICK fountain pen

Recently I purchased a CLICK fountain pen. It is a very traditional screw close fountain pen with a big nib in red color. I did feel that the cost of the pen is on the higher side. But considering that there are actually very few people who love to write with a fountain pen – the cost is justified.

Petrache Poenaru, Romanian inventor, is the invention of a fountain pen – in 1827. Every writer’s aim is self-betterment. Soon he discovers that his pen accomplishes a lot more than his soul. My two fingers on a laptop have never connected with my brain. My hand on a CLICK pen does. A fountain pen, of course. I simply pick up my pen. It flows. A passage appears. There the CLICK is. There is nothing more for me to say!

There is no lighter burden than a pen. All other pleasures fail us or injure us while they charm. We take the pen in our hands happily and put it down with satisfaction, for it has the power not only on the writer and reader, but many others who are far away – sometimes, they are not born for thousands of years to come.

I saw a similar pen in the hands of my maternal grandfather Late Dr. M. Subramanyam – who was an Unani doctor. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for giving me this magic pen. Do you know…I can write anything with this pen…including these thoughts…

Finally, allow me to keep it in electronic form…for you to read and enjoy!
