CHEATED BY THE CONSTITUTION – 1

India Parliament building with tall columns and Indian flag atop the dome-like façade

Last night’s sleep was scarce. Due to Vijayadashami and Ravan effigy burning, too many crackers were being burst, along with dance, DJ, and carrying the POP idols. When will these people learn? These ‘religious’ people are disturbing the entire city. Very insensitive and selfish bastards. But it is also true that they are enjoying the Freedom of Religion given by the constitution.

Now, a bit of law. Religion, according to the Constitution, is a personal choice. One can practice any religion or sect one may choose. What is personal is private. For instance, I can love any woman, provided she is willing. Our love is private and personal. We do not go about showing ourselves the way these religious processions go. Thus, these religions and their followers are insane.

Now the various hoardings that the so-called ‘politicians’ and other social workers put up on the road. Some idiot or a group of idiots are wishing, for instance, ‘Happy Vijayadashami’. These huge hoardings are a nuisance on the roads. I am a Hindu, and I never felt happy about these idiots’ greetings/wishes. I do not think anybody would feel happy. Even if someone were to feel happy because of these wishes, it is a private affair. Why subject us all to this nuisance?

Beginning from Vinayak Chavithi to Diwali, the Hindus create havoc on the streets. For three months, there is no peace. All noise. All streets become dirty and stay dirty. Mountains of stinking waste. Who cleans? When you shit, you better clean your own ass! Do not expect others to clean it, you mother lovers!

You call it culture? Celebration? Peaceful coexistence? Unity in Diversity? I feel that We the People of India are cheated by their own Constitution.
