Everything begins with fun, joy and especially when we are not at prepared! A week ago, when Parvathi said: “Your face looks like the ‘whomsoever’ in the ‘whomsoever it may concern’”. I did not understand it in the first instance as to what she meant. When I understood, a smile on my face. I am the ‘whomsoever’!
Couple of months ago I had suggested very seriously ‘goddess in Exile’ as a domain name for parvathi. She said “it is good, but few will understand the meaning. Majority closed minded may question ‘how can a goddess be in exile? They would argue a human being can be in exile, never the gods”. From that day the search was on for a good domain name. My mind seems to have gone it primitive blank since then as I did not revert with a good domain name!
On the Other hand, I was reproached for taking away the best domain name in ‘shitwhole.com’. I must admit even this name too came out of nowhere. I was in some serious discussions with colleague Mr. Praveen Rathi about some IT issue and idea of the SHITWHOLE happened. It is as simple as that. Many people, in fact, all people think romantically of having their own attractive domain where their thoughts, views, pictures, videos and opinions can be posted. The very thought of giving your domain on your business card away to others (to show off) looks very intoxicating. What no one or only selected few will understand that it takes donkey’s work to maintain a domain. www.shitwhole.com is not existing because I write there (this is only a part of the long sad story) but mainly because of people like Mr. Susheel Rathi of Cancri Technologies, Vijayalaxmi on the SEOs, posting etc., people from domain maintenance, hosting etc. (to name few) work harder to keep it going. I am just a cog in this giant wheel!
M/s Cancri Technologies, yesterday gifted a very easy to remember, relatable & not difficult to spell domain name (whomsoever.in) for Parvathi. They have registered it for Parvathi, with who I have shared their domain registration e-mail. Now it is for her to take it forward. This website must be intuitively visualized, planned, developed and hosted. If worked out properly, this would seamlessly record the thoughts of Parvathi and their progression. Many people will read, understand comment and criticize. A life-long commitment is to begin for her through www.whomsoever.in.
She must develop a site plan, content and then go live. In all probability she must have her own e-mail like: ‘Parvathi@whomsoever.in’ associated with it. Rather than giving free publicity for their benevolent free e-mails of G-mail or Yahoo, it is advisable to have her own personalized E-mail. It will be an asset for her. The way a father gives a piece of land to his children, I am giving ‘www.whomsoever.in’ to Parvathi. It is for the children to make a dream house on the piece of land; it is for Parvathi to develop her dream site here. I would prefer ‘www.whomsoever.in’ than ‘www.whomsoever.com’, for the site itself proudly states of her humble origins.
Finally, I am happy to give Parvathi a life-long indulgence and this indulgence is far stronger than any known drug to human being. What & how she will write – time only will tell. However, I wish that this site should become the other name of Parvathi. The whomsoever reads the content/visits the site, must have a smile smeared over his lips and wonder about ‘Whomsoever Parvathi’.
