JEENA HAI TOH

JEENA HAI TOH

जीना है तो मरना सीखो,

कदम-कदम पर लड़ना सीखो।

JEENA HAI TOH MARNA SEEKHO

KADAM KADAM PAR LADNA SEEKHO

Meaning: “Learn to die if you wish to live; learn to fight at every step”.

Frankly speaking I do not know who said this above statement. Looks very emotional, rebellious and will stay in the reader’s mind. Whosoever said this must be an idiot. I am stopping at the word idiot, as I am unable to find a better word to describe the author of the above lines.

What do you mean by ‘learn to die if you want to live’? Why should I die at all? People are crazy. It is like saying “Learn to fly if you want to walk”. There is no sense in this statement all. This statement becomes utter rubbish when a student’s organization uses it. Are you trying to instigate students? For what? Why? The gullible minds of students are impressionable. Do you know what happens to their lives if this stupidest statement ‘learn to die if you wish to live’ were to be followed? We are ending their lives even before it begins. We are literally killing them.

Now let me come to the next line: ‘Learn to fight at every step’! Why do you want me to fight? Why should I fight at all? And with who do I fight? Further, you are asking me to fight at every step! This is absolutely bonkers. We have been taught not violence; but non-violence. This statement provoking one to fight at every step must have only been uttered by a mad man.

For a student’s organization I suggest the following slogan:

JEENA HAI TOH PADHNA SEEKHO

KADAM KADAM PAR SEEKNA SEEKHO

Meaning: “Learn to read if you want to live; learn to learn at every step”.

Unless one learns, reads, writes and teaches there can be no positive development and there can never be self-actualization. Everyone is a student for life and everyone must learn. I shall sincerely wish that this student organization reads this post and mends their slogans.

Anyone can celebrate 50th anniversary, including a donkey. And the moot question is do you wish to be a donkey?
