FAREWELL AL SAYYID SALIM BIN NASSIR KHALFAN AL BUSAIDI

Al Sayyid Salim bin Nassir bin Khalfan Al Busaidi

To Allah we belong and to Him we return.

With deep sorrow and grief, I write the simple obituary of Al Sayyid Salim bin Nassir bin Khalfan Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oman United Insurance Company SAOG. Sayyid Salim passed away peacefully on Monday, 26th May 2025. He was the man with full, unshakable faith in Allah’s will and decree.

My association with Sayyid Salim was mostly official at the OUIC. He made a deep impression on my heart with his kind understanding and encouraging words. I pray to the Almighty Allah to grant Sayyid Salim bin Nassir bin Khalfan Al Busaidi His infinite mercy. Thousands of kilometers away from Muscat, Oman, the admirers of Sayyid Salim bin Nassir bin Khalfan Al Busaidi pray the Almighty Allah to admit him into His vast paradise.

Sayyid Salim bin Nassir bin Khalfan Al Busaidi succeeded by his able son Sayyid Nassir bin Salim Al Busaidi the Managing director of OUIC, the President of the General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF) and the Chairman of Oman Insurance Association. Sayyid Nassar is highly educated, holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Carnegie Mellon University USA and highly respectable in the society.

We pray the Almighty Allah to grant patience, to deal with the unfathomable grief and solace to all his family members and the loved ones.

Finally, years ago I read the translation of the Royal Decree 7/77 appointing Sayyid Salim bin Nassir bin Khalfan Al Busaidi as the Minister for the Ministry of Transport with pride and awe.

May the Almighty Allah Grant Paradise to Sayyid Salim bin Nassir bin Khalfan Al Busaidi.
