13. Adolf Hitler – The Greatest Propagandist (1889-1945)

Introductory Note:

Who are the most important people of the last One Thousand years, i.e., from 1000 AD to 2000 AD? The phrase ‘important people’ are defined as ‘a person /s who changed the destiny of the world; defined the great stream of human history and altered our perceptions.

Let us remember them.

——————-

He was a failed artist. He fought World War-I, gassed and wounded. Later with his mastery of propaganda, his ideology of racial purity and ruthless political skills he secured the chancellorship of Germany in 1933. His diabolical personal magnetism attracted all.

He embarked on a vicious campaign of global domination. He declared war on the world in 1939. He began systematically exterminating Jews and other ‘Undesirables’ to attain his objective of the German racial purity.

Hitler was defeated in 1945. By that time as many as 77 million people had died. These deaths left him as a man who is responsible for more deaths than any other man in the history of the world.

When Hitler saw his immanent defeat, he committed suicide in his bunker. This notoriety of Hitler made me to nominate him as an important man who changed the course of the world in last 1000 years.
