Dear Sir,
Sub: Application for employment for the Accountant’s Post – Regarding
I refer to the recent death of the accountant at your office, who had died due to heart attack while on duty. Hence, I hereby apply for the job as a replacement to the dead accountant. I assure you that my heart is very strong and as per the doctors it is very unlikely that I will die due to heart attack. Photocopy of the doctor’s report is enclosed for ready reference.
Each time I apply for employment at your organization I get the standard & stock reply that there is currently No Vacancy. In this case, I know for sure that the vacancy exists (I can say I caught you red handed?) and you have no excuse of No Vacancy. While I was in my home-town for holidays, I heard the good news of the death of your accountant. No sooner I came to know of it, I rushed back to attend the funeral of the deceased accountant.
I had also visited the local insurance office and ensured that the life insurance proceeds were paid to the wife of the deceased. She is too old, fragile and half blind; hence you cannot offer her the accountant post on compassionate grounds. I had to do all the above preliminary work to be sure that your accountant is really dead and you cannot give the usual ‘No Vacancy’ reply anymore!
Please find enclosed the latest of my CV and attested copies of my educational & professional qualification with a request to urgently consider me for the post of accountant. I am also appending a notarized news-paper clipping showing the deceased accountant’s obituary as a corroborative proof of vacancy. I am 100% sure that you cannot say ‘No Vacancy’.
Give me the Job as immediately as possible.
Yours Truly.
Rose Marie Marlo
